If I remember correctly, the original nuts (which are on the thin side) had been lost when bought the block holders. Those are standard stainless steel metric nuts, which came from my local ACE hardware. They are a normal thickness, thus the inset.

I noticed the grease glob when I originally posted the picture back in the Spring of 2007. I was so horrified at the time, I immediately went to the basement to remove the offense!

I am certain it is no longer present. Could Neal or Scott or Anton vouch for me?
