actually, i think it's a very strong rack, designed for holding panniers. it is made of stainless steel tubing, with generous stays and thick brackets. the fact that they hold the fender is just a nice extra touch. i'm considering getting one. it's the perfect match to their front porteur rack, which i have, and that is one strong rack.
