Not sure if this is indicative, but the release is open in at least two of those photos, and cable length is off on two, as well. You also want the rear tightening bolt tight.
A hammer and drift punch are handy.
Actually the release is partially open on the Modolo and closed on the other two. I double checked to be sure.
I'll work on shortening the housing this weekend. I'm sure that will solve the problem. Thus goes the education of a novice.
