Installing the star nut was actually pretty easy - just take your time. I used a screwdriver which went through the nut. If it goes in unevenly....sort of wang it towards where it needs to be. When both sets of blades are in it will straighten itself fine - it seems pretty hard for it to go in wrong.

I am considering just getting the tools to finish it - I would need the octalink tool and a cassette tool. There's a small chance I would need the threads on my BB chased, however, so I'm thinking I will just drop it off and have them deal with it.
