I think they feel slow and aren't exceptionally flat resistant. I know people who really like the Maxxis detonator, which online are maybe 8 dollars more per tire. Worth it if you can afford it, but I know how expensive bike stuff can get. Tires are important though. gatorskins are also very durable but almost twice as expensive as the ultrasports (though they last almost twice as long, I think).
