Bikes: LeMond Etape

I use them (Conti GatorSkins) and feel very confidant with their integrity for a ride that may go over crushed compacted limestone "rails to trails" rides. I have those spec tires as I speak, last year I had the wider Contis as I took a ride on the GAP Trail from Pitts, Pa to DC on all crushed compacted limestone. The GAP is from Pitt to Cumberland Md and then from Cumberland to DC on virtually a very unmaintained country lane Via the C&O Towpath trail. This was done on a LeMond Etape road bike with about 30 pounds of camping gear above my back tire. No flats, and I fared better than the "Long Haul Trucker" partner I rode with.
