They don't speak the same language (pull ratio is different) you will end up wearing out your chain really quick and then your drivetrain besides dealing with poor shifting and even ghost shifting under load. There's some moderately priced cassettes out there. If the Campy isn't that worn, sell it to offset the cost of the new shimano or sram cassette. SRAM makes shimano compatible cassettes.
