over the weekend, the city apparently dug a brand new deep and wide trench across the road along my regular commute route. i didn't notice it until the last minute, but i tried to bunny hop it anyway. i made it most of the way across, but i i still caught my rear rim on the far edge of the canyon with a very loud bang and subsequent pinch flat. i had my tires up at 90psi, but that wasn't enough for that violent impact. at least the rim looks good and still spins true.

stupid city cutting trenches in roads without patching them back up. ohhhhh the wonderful glory that is the chicago streets & san department.
