I was going to comment on the dark rides in too. Not to sound like I'm trying to one-up you, but here in the Great White North (53.57 degrees North), our sunrise isn't until 8:30 these days, and sunset at 6:00 pm. Next week, with DST ending, I might see the beginning of the sunrise in the morning, but my commute home will suddenly be dark.

Commute in temp was around 0C/32F. The forecast for the week is for unseasonably warm temperatures. I was pretty excited because I thought I would be able to go back to my old, favourite route through a couple of city parks. A pedestrian bridge over a freeway (my access to the park route) was supposed to re-open on the weekend after being closed since spring, but when I got there this morning, it was still barricaded. Bummer. Had to backtrack a bit and got to work a little later than usual. I got word from the city that it's supposed to open later today, but I'm not holding my breath.
