I have 2010 a Torker Graduate, which I like a lot. I also happened to come upon a 90s Bridgestone mountain bike, an NB-26, which I think was a mid-year entry level bike toward the end of the Bridgestone era. ( I used to ride a mb-3 comp, but have never previously heard of the NB)

It is not the greatest frame in the world, but that Bridgestone geometry is mighty fine and suits me really well. I also like the Torker for its components (IGH and drum brakes).

I'm wondering if there's a way, despite the Bridgestone's vertical dropouts, to meld the two bikes: bridgestone frame, torker components.

It might not be possible, but if I could have a mix of the two bikes, I just might have the greatest bike (for me) ever.

Suggestions/ledes/ideas/criticisms gladly received.

Thanks,

Keith.
With the right size ring and cog, there's always the chance you won't even need a tensioner. And if you use a 1/8" chain, you could use a half link to fine tune the length.
