I put a 130mm rear wheel in my old Vitus Aluminum occasionally. Also, when I first got the bike, the front forks were spaced too narrow - probably about 96/97mm. I was getting sick of always needing to spread them apart to get the front wheel in so I cold-set the fork to 100mm (hey, I was young and dumb and didn't know you weren't supposed to). I've ridden the fork that way for 25 years now.
