Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

For now, at least, the bike lust has been all but quenched. I grew up around a shop that sold Raleighs as their staple. After High School, I became "spoiled" by having a Super Course - so if something isn't at least that nice, I won't hang onto it unless there's something special about it (my late uncle's Superbe qualifies). I was quite interested in the evolution of British bicycles in the post-war era. The club scene of the late 40's - early 50's cast a it of a spell on me, as did the notion of riding a bicycle for day-long excursions. At any rate, I've rationalized my way into acquiring about 10 quite nice bicycles. All but three were made in England. That was my direction, but as I'm not seeing it go any farther for some time now, I guess it would be fair to say it no longer has a direction. Just tie up some loose ends with projects, and hopefully get around more riding in the coming year.
