Assos winter bibs-- $360 and raised seams?

I purchased an Assos Men's Winter.LL Tight No Chamois ( I am going to have to return it, because even a size XLG is too small).

Assos is supposed to be the ne plus ultra, but what do I find on the inside? Raised seams.

I am looking for this to replace my well-worn (pic) 2006 Giordana bibs (about $250 now), but these at least have flat seams.

My wife's $165 Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Tight - No Chamois also have all flat seams (pic).

If I am going to pay $360 for winter bibs, shouldn't they have non-chafing flat seams, as do bibs costing $200 less? Do all Assos winter bibs have raised seams?
