You have to be willing to get on there and stay on there. For two months, I tried to buy numerous Stumpjumpers, Fuels, Giants, Gary Fishers...and each time I got outbid. I even got knocked out once by $100 in the last 10 seconds. Two guys run the auction up to $380 (I thought I had it for $275) before I could refresh the screen.

Luckily, I stumbled on a new 02' Jamis Dakar frameset one day. $200 shipping and all. I researched it and a day later I bought it BUY-IT-NOW. Since it was an 02', they still had the Horst link.

What my point is...do the research. For $200, it may not be a Specialized or a Trek or another popular name, but you might find a killer ride if you will hunt down different brands. I've seen some Giants, Fishers, etc. go for LESS in your size, just cause they aren't as popular...
