Surely you know from reading this forum if not the book that it goes way beyond a simple matter of life and death safety issue.
Anyway, it's one thing to understand it and recognize it as you read it, it's another to feel deep down that you have the same rights as a vehicle driver (albeit the driver of a relatively narrow and slow vehicle), and to ride accordingly.
In other words, can you apply the principles in real time as you're faced with various traffic situations on a given ride?
