I LOVE it because when I answer "well, this past weekend I did two solo rides totalling 255 miles", they get that "oh, this isn't a 20-mile-is-along-ride-johnny" look, and ... leave me alone. Or, at least the ones with any common sense do.
I tickles me that the employees at my LBS idolize the owner because he rides a 70 mile solo ride every other Sunday morning.

Every customer who claims to be a rider is questioned with "How far did you ride yesterday?"

They thought that I was BS'ing them when I answered "150 miles"... but now they know me as "That old guy who takes 30 miles to warm up."
