Rim Width vs Tire Size
I am new to mountain biking so maybe this is a stupid question. I just picked up a new rear 26"Weinman Taurus wheel because the rear wheel is way out of round on the bike I picked up. On the side of the Taurus rim it says 26X 1.5/1.95 which I assume to mean the width of the tires. I have some Continental Vertical Mountain Tires on order which are rated at 2.3 but on another review forum everybody claims is really 2.1. Will these work?
I am 210 lbs and will not be doing very aggressive riding. If it is borderline is there a tire pressure that might help. I currently run about 40-45 lbs in my tires.
thanks
