Update: I brought it to the LBS ... they couldn't fix it. I purchased a lower-end wheel with some great reviews for about $60 - not quite the level of my previous wheel, but I think it will be fine. I'm hoping to get back on the road today - thanks for all the input.

I think I might increase the tension on my pedals just a tad bit - of course, I've only released from my pedals accidentally 2 times in 6 years.
