Oh, that's very interesting. It freewheels in *both directions*? Wonder how that works. I gotta learn more about single speed bikes.

Anyway, I think a Mu Uno would be a good pick due to weight, if not for anything else. I'm still not a fan of rolling Dahons in general, but cost is an issue here. Though he'd really need to slap on a front brake. How hard is this to do on the Uno?

Not been caught on a malfunctioning turnstile with a Dahon, I take it? :-) Or a narrow train passageway. I have! Still, if the Uno goes both forwards and backwards without moving the pedals, that negates this whole issue.

Since I'm getting called by my title now (heh) I might mention that a ZTR device doesn't *really* have a zero turning radius: it's a misnomer. The wall-to-wall turning circle of a folded Dahon is between 3 and 4 feet due to the off-center location of the spin axis. Surprisingly, this is highly relevant to the discussion.
