I have a 1986 blue Schwinn Waterford Paramount (
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stoven2...7624025504416/, will try to take some more pics) that I've been taking apart and cleaning/rebuilding. It's SLX tubing with full original Dura-Ace, and rides fast as a bat out of hell. It still has a few problems, like a rear freewheel hub that catches when I spin the axle by hand, and the fit may not be so great since the seatpost is set higher than the stem can go. I also don't find myself riding it that much, since 1) I recently got a touring bike for around town, and 2) I'm afraid of getting this one messed up or stolen (it's also generally less comfy/convenient than a touring bike set up with moustache bars...).
I'm trying to decide whether to keep this or sell it a friend who's been interested in it for ages. Do any of you have this issue - having really nice bikes that you're afraid to ride? Is it ever worth it to keep around a bike just b/c it's unique and valuable?
