Is there a matching rear hub? Keith, did you cause this wear or purchase the hub used in this condition?
I'm curious what others think: If Keith does decide to lace up the hub, should he "prep" the hub in any way? For example, sanding the eroded areas smooth to reduce future wear on the spokes? Or best to preserve as much of the existing metal as possible? What about following GrayJay's advice about re-lacing in the opposite direction, but also adding spoke washers?
