hey Posi, us Canucks do that all the time, aint nuttin special. Along with the making love in a canoe and not making it tip over, its all part of getting the "I am Canadian" card that we all (mostly) have in our wallets.

as for the OP....who cares. I had a friend who did it once many moons ago, and while I had the romantic urge of doing it at one point in my life, I realized after touring other places that it wasnt the experience I wanted (to be frank, too much open areas with few towns etc and great distances between population-I have done it in a car, but on a bike, nope) He was a nutbar, doing 200-300 klicks per day, incredibly impressive (racing bike, very, very lightly loaded) but not my kettle of fish.

I actually think your way is a much saner way! (but do agree with two weeks being a bit short, you just start getting "into" a tour at two weeks, in my experience as well.
