I do have aero bars, but I just haven't mounted them on. I believe that the wheel accepts a 9spd cassette and I do have a 9spd Dura Ace one that would fit right in. And yeah, all of the DA components were taken off a road bike that was too big for me. You're right though, option 1 seems the least complicated to do, thanks!
