This may seem a bit off topic but since I imagine C&V is the only place on this board that can really appreciate the center pull brake I would post it here.

Anyway, I walked into my local bike shop last night and was checking out a $7,000 Tri/TT bike to see where the latest technology was at and lo and behold - CENTER PULL BRAKES!!!

Looks like they're coming back in a way. I guess it makes a bit of sense though since center pulls have a bit of an aero advantage over V brakes and the material savings over cantilever brakes equals weight savings. Plus I imagine a TT cyclist doesn't have to worry about brake modulation as much as a touring road guy.

Just thought it was interesting.
