When I size people I try to have them wear their cycling shoes but really it doesn't matter too much, you'll be in the ball park without them (honestly you're still in the ball parks parking lot as of the videos) but having them on helps.

Like Impreza_aL said, just getting out on the road will help. You'll get it, just take your time and have fun and everything will come around. Ride safe and good luck.
