I have a Topeak Joe Blow Max that I picked up at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for short money years ago. It works pretty well. It had a couple little flaws, though. The hose keeps cracking and I have to keep shortening it, to the point that I have to position the tire valve stem near the floor. Also the presta/schraeder head tends to come apart when taking it off the valve. Doesn't really affect the function, though.
I had one of those, and could not get up past 100 psi due to the larger barrel. Even with my feet lifting off the floor and my full 170 lbs on the handle. I returned it. My earlier Joe Blow of a different model had the same cracking hose after 3 years, and the valve seemed to start giving out.
I got a Giant something-or-other at the store and it's fine. Uses the same head for both valve types. I like the gauge positioned up near the handle instead of down at the base.
