Be careful about books and blogs. These people are nothing like you and you'd realize that and use it as an excuse not to tour. Lots of interesting books and blogs are about people in totally different situation than you. They have way more time. Have a job and family situation that allows such a travel. And are at a much better location to do these things. If it sounds like excuses then you have correctly identified it. One easily composes excuses as to why I couldn't do this myself. Best thing is to stop reading and go out and do it yourself. Besides you want to experience your own adventures. Consume the books, blogs, and this forum with care.
