1) Are you doing intervals on your solo rides? It sounds like you need to improve your recovery time.

Doing intervals on short rest, such as one minute at 100%, one minute rest, repeat, will help you to recover quicker form hard efforts.

2) Don't go so hard on the hill. Untill you improve your recovery, do just what it takes up the hill to stay in contact. Definitely sounds like you're going too hard, blowing up and not recovering, and that's why you get dropped.
