VICTIM NOT IDENTIFIED: Woman struck, killed while riding bicycle in North Las Vegas

By LAWRENCE MOWER
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
A 50-year-old woman was struck and killed on her bicycle Friday afternoon.

Road is too dangerous to ride in that area, you must be on the sidewalk for your safety... No marked bicycle lanes, and they would be no-mans land if they were marked in that area... 45 mile per hour speed limit, most cars 10/15 mile per hour faster than the posted limit...

Officer said bicyclists should be walking their bicycles when on the sidewalk. They should ride them only in a traffic lane. She added that the driver of the truck also had responsibility to yield to pedestrians or other motorists.
