Main commuter: Michelin Transworld Sprint 700x40 (44-622 measured). Small patterned knobs
Michelin_Transworld
Tourer / secondary commuter:
nobodyknows made in Taiwan 26x1.9 (actually 26x1.77 / 45-559). Bald surface with small knobs on the edges.
The Michelins look like bomb-proof. Only 1200 km on them so far with no prob.
The Taiwanese tyres are amazing: Look dumb and worn out right off the shop, but don't be mistaken... They cost 5 (yes, five) euro each. Travelled to Biarritz-France (w/ kevlar belt, 1200+ km round trip) and Andalusia-Spain (no kevlar, 1500+ km round trip) with no puncture AT ALL last year. Thought they would give up after 200 km, and then I'd've replaced them on the fly, but they lasted and last and last... Drawback: mauve sidewalls

. I'm thinking of stocking two pairs of them for the future.
