urbanknight, There's a protocal I call 'time bartering'. You get to ride for awhile and the mom gets to do something she enjoys. Both parents need some 'me' time and shouldn't be considered selfish behavior and may even be more important with a newly arrived first baby. The 'me' time maybe less frequent than either parent wishes, but it sure helps. Don't forget to work in some 'me+SO' time.
