You live in a continent where Right and Left both agree that public transit and reduction of car use are legitimate issues for government to take up. Some of us live in a continent where this is not the case.
I'm not a single-issue voter, but transit and infrastructure are very high on my priority list. I'm not going to get them from right wing politicians. Ever.
