Thanks for response - the frame on the Fierte is exactly what I am looking for. I was originally plannon on the CDale R1000 sport 2003 model. After reading about Al frames being stiff, and frequently cracking, I started looking for a bike with similar frame design in steel. So here is my ideal bike:
Steel- Compact frame - like Serottta Fierte (or frame geom of Cdale R1000)
105 or Ultegra Grouppo
Decent wheels
Price - around $2,000.
Leaning towards steel because of "comfort" and reliability - I weigh 225. Also want the geometry of the "compact" frame.
Anyone make a bike that meets the above criteria?
