Not only that but most LBS mechanics use tools too. Also all world record attempts including the world record time for removing a tire involve using tools. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moA9R8tvS8g Granted MTB tires are faster to remove then road tires but this same guy also beat the record time with a road bike tire.
