I've had this trainer for about 25 years, and it's fantastic. It simulates both wind resistance as a function of speed and inertial resistance when accelerating. Unlike conventional trainers that are driven by the rear tire, it has it's own freewheel and solid axle that supports the frame dropouts. No tire wear or slipping. The company that made them (Houdaille) has long since stopped making them, which is a real shame.
