I'll speak up on the side of the freewheelers. Granted, I haven't given riding fixed a fair shot, but I find that I get so uncomfortable on my bike when riding fixed as opposed to riding on the freewheel. I don't ride SS for any ideological reasons, I just find that it's more comfortable.
same here. of course ill admit, i am not as dedicated of a cyclist as a lot of people here (im a hockey guy primarily), so possibly i do not analyze it so much. I am not looking to become an expert rider, just looking for some joy in a healthy (and of course cool looking) way. It all really began out of me just wanting a simple reliable, and cool looking bike. I appreciate it in any form, and fail to understand the "sissy" mindset toward any type of riding, even if a lot of its obviously a joke.
