check out the history of the Paramount on the Waterford web site. They have been made in several places, and by a variety of manufacturers - including Kestrel (on eBay right now...). The quality of the bikes through the Waterford era were very good - in the '90's quality ranged from pretty dumpy to, well, Serotta and Match.
