I have a 1972 Le Champion and the construction is very nice... but the Champion Team was a step above. They both look to be made with the same frame components but the Champion Team had just a higher lever of finishing. Both have Campagnolo dropouts but the ones on a Champion Team were refined a little more with a bit of attention to the edges and they do not have fender eyelets like earlier Le Champions did. Same kind of treatment can be said for the lugs... just a bit more care put into it.

Later Le Champions, like the Lilac colored model was closer to the Champion Team as far as quality.
