There are some parks at the foot of Jamboree in the Tustin area. This is far enough away from Tustin Market Place to give you a nice wide bike lane.
2 - Citrus Ranch and Cedar Grove... you then have a nice climb up Jamboree as a warm up. If you go from there to Blackstar and back that's about 20 miles. When you are ready it would be very easy to extend the ride into the Loop (up Jamboree to Santiago Canyon to Glenn Ranch to Portola to Bake to Irvine Blvd. to Tustin Ranch Road back to the parks) which is then about 35 miles...
