Hey...I got the red Regal Girardi in the mail today...it is NOS and gorgeous. I was in my LBS shootin' the **** with the guys and one of them informs me that hardly any seatposts will work with the mag rails AND he used to see them come in with broken rails all the time in the late 80's...way to kill my buzz.

Anyway...I got home and checked the saddle out in relation to the Mavic 330 seatpost and it turns out that this seatpost is pretty much ideal for the wide mag rails EXCEPT FOR ONE THING. The lower cradle for the Mavic has (2) vertical posts which quickly locate the top cradle...however, they are in the way of the wider rail's sides.

I can either:
a) cut/machine these posts off.
b) machine an entire new lower cradle from billet
c) not use the saddle or get another post that works better with the saddle.

Keep in mind I scored the post for $35, but I also have other saddles at my disposal of course (rode it today with a black Arione).
