I have fond memories of February's huge DC storms, "Snowmageddon" and "Snowcapalypse." The best part was when the deep snow broke the cable network and we were without TV for over a week. I wish that happened more often.

Bicycle related -- our road was plowed late, so for days at a time, my bike was the only transportation. Also good.
