I find that my bike's handling go awry when I put in 30d & L lenses in the pannier. Too heavy. I might just go out with prime lens next time. Until then, for ease of mobility, I am using a P&S.

Something to consider is the micro 4/3rd cameras from Olympus or Panasonic.
