So this morning, I see a post for a full Ultegra 2000 Specialized Allez Elite bike that's been used on a TRAINER for the past few years, for $100!!! Only problem is it's a 45 minute drive. I immediately email the guy and he calls back. I say I want it and can I call him in half an hour to see when I can get there today.
When I call back, I say "can I give you a paypal deposit? I can't make it there until tomorrow?" But he says somebody's standing there with cash in hand, ready to buy it. ARRRGHGHGH!!!
The same thing happened to me on Craigslist with an e*cort. It was someone advertising some Elite Specialized services. But I lost out to someone else already with "cash in hand." I think it was cash, I don't remember.
