Interchange City Trunk

Just spent $190 on this little system, bag and rack. Seems pretty convenient, snaps right on in a second to go where ever two wheels will take you, just as quick snaps right off to go where your two legs take you. Holds a six-pack of Corona easily, maybe some ice packs and lime, and maybe lunch for work and some rain gear. I'm kinda proud of this purchase, as I've needed something for my daily commute to carry things.

Now that I've gotten it home, I realized I just spent $190 dollars for this trunk/bag, and rack. Hard earned money (which by the way I don't mind spending if it functions well and performs for years to come) which could have gone to my dream bike funds. I look it over now, and find it doesn't have features I would have wanted had I of planned this out ahead of time.

There is no way to lock the bag itself to keep people out of my personal things. I'm not sure if it is waterproof, as one of the bags I looked at (not this one) had a little rain cover you could put over it. No indicator anywhere on the bag, the site, the tag, anywhere that says it will resist the rain. The Interchange frame is plastic. I don't like plastic anything. The bag itself cost $140, which seems to me alot of money for quite simply, a simple bag.

Anyone else who bought this or something similar care to share some experiences? How is it holding up? Are there better bags out there for the same or less money that is better than this?

BTW I'm not dissing the bag. I've already been using it and it seems like a great system. I just have a few issues.

Thanks!
