Maybe I haven't seen enough aluminum corrosion, but this junk looks SERIOUS. Besides where the paint has come off, the paint has bubbled up in some places. Why would this happen? I am studying engineering at the moment so I would really like to know why, especially from that perspective. The tubing seems fine (as in the corrosion has removed almost no metal at all) except for at the bottom bracket shell. Here, and just here, there is some serious pitting. When I saw this I instantly dismissed it as junk, but the other day I saw a picture of a BB shell with a MASSIVE cut-out and thought, perhaps I can use this frame??? Let me know what you think.
