Bikes: too many

licphoto: the madison looks like it's at least a half inch longer on the top tube, maybe even an inch. 2cm is a decent difference.

I was a little thrown off by the picture, you're on the hoods on one and risers for the kilo, so the differing amount of saddle-bar drop makes the kilo seem much smaller than the madison. regardless, the kilo is plain too small. you can make up for it with a long stem, but generally small bikes (like a 50cm kilo) work best with shorter stems, bigger bikes with bigger stems (usually a 50 will come with a 90mm stem, while a 58 would have a 120). I think they take this into account when making geometries for handling and such. but i could be talking out my ass.

you could make the kilo work, but it's definitely less than ideal. and when you're putting this much money into a hobby, you might as well do it right.

(also to the person that said the two bikes should have the same saddle height compared to the ground, it might be different based on crank arm length and bb drop. same height pedal-saddle, but it could look different when the two bikes are put next to each other. it wouldn't be much, but it would make a slight difference)
