So, me and a friend met the two guys who work in our LBS just after lunch. We cycled down to the trainstation, went by train, then got on the funicular and up. While waiting for the funicular, Sebas rode up a thin aisle in the station (the station was deserted at this point), got to the end and did a 180 pivot on his rear wheel. Oh and did I mention he wheelied all the way to the station? (10 mins, he only put his front end down twice!) And at the station, we had to take a sharp turn to the right and he just pivoted on his front and then on his back wheel. Simply awesome.

Denise, the guy who I always ask stuff from, rides a Coiler Dee-Lux while Sebas, a mechanic, rides a Kona Stuff.

Anyway, by the time we got off the funicular we had strapped all our gear and protection on and then rolled down 'till the start of the trail. They went so amazingly fast on the trail!

Anyway, the trail ends but we're still high up in the mountains so we continue on this small dirtroad and take another trail. This one was a fast one and towards the end there were 4 dirtjumps!!

First we rode down by them all to see if the jumps were in good condition, then pushed the bikes up. Denise went first, he hit the first dirtjump perfectly, landed smooth. Sebas went second, on his Stuff, and also cleared it nicely. Then I realised they were expecting us to try it aswell.

So, Mark, my friend (rides a Bruiser 1 with RS Judy TT and Deore hydros) goes at quite a slowly speed and bunnyhops on the lip. He didn't reach the landing but it was OK, no biggie if you miss. I went quite a bit faster, hopped, flew and landed (I didn't reach the landing either). Anyway, that was fun. So we pushed our bikes up and jumped that dirtjump over and over. When I was having my fourth turn, I went down fast, but I landed with the front wheel not aligned properly and I went over the bars. My left arm was scratched up bad and I hit my stomach but I was OK, nothing major, I pretty much landed on my knee but I was wearing my Fox NorthShore shinguards.

Then Denise and Sebas jumped the other three dirtjumps which me and Mark didn't (way too hard!

). Then, the trail finished, we reached a road. They departed, having to get back to the LBS before closing time. After a while, Mark bends about 5 links on his chain (ON FLAT, PAVED ROAD!), don't ask how. His derailleur is pulled into the spokes and his hanger is bent. I got out my multitool/Allen wrench thing/whatever it's called and loosened the thing that holds the R/D on. In this way we were able to get the R/D out of the spokes and push the bike back home. But oh no, as I get back on my bike, I notice my front tire is popped. Damn! So, we push our bikes back home, get some money, and go to our LBS. He leaves his bike while I am determined to change the inner tube on my own. So, I buy 2 inner tubes, 3 tyre levers and a mini pump (if I get a flat on the trails). After hard work with Mark, we manage to change the front inner tube after 20 minutes.

I feel proud though, and now I will be able to change the inner tube if it pops in the mountains so I don't have to push the bike back home.
Overall, great experience!
And then we hang out in the park a bit and Mark manages to pinch flat my wheel by riding on a pin and he refuses to pay me for a new innertube (the a-hole popped the front inner tube, the new one). So now I've "patched" (taped) my old tyre where it was popped and will take it with me tomorrow as a spare when I go with my other friend, Marcus, to the dirtjumps (Mark won't be able to come 'cause his bike will be in until Monday).
PS: DAMN! Now that's a long post.

PPS: Changed air-chamber to inner tube.

As for a camera, mine is messed up at the moment.

I'll try and fix it by tomorrow when hopefully I go back to hit the DJs with Marcus.
