Nope, it uses your basic twin hooker spring-O type tool, with a conventional lockring. Left hand threads on the drive side, right hand threads on the non-drive side. Pretty cool BB and very smooth, just too wide for anything other than one of those older cranksets. You may find that the original BB is fine and just needs cleaning and some fresh grease, but sent this along just in case.
