I'm guessing that some of the larger (upright bike) manufacturers put the pressure on, because the month after that embarrassing blurb, the rag was under new management. By most accounts, the various changes they made lost them half their readership, but becoming a quality publication, committed to their slogan, "Mountain Bikes. Road Bikes. All Bikes." was worth it! Dropping their recumbent coverage was only one of many reasons for ending my subscription.
