Exactly. Talking to the local shops, you will find that Shimano could not meet component demand for 2004. Campy and SRAM (mountain bike components) step up and filled the void. In 2003 the local Performanc Bike shop did not carry a single bike with Campy. Now, they have IF and another brand with Campy.

Also, Campy's mid-low level components are very good. I think Campy will continue to make inroads into the mid/entry level road bike market and pick up a larger market share in the future.
